About Us

Adelle is a mother, a wife, a birth trauma/sepsis survivor and an advocate of all things ostomy related. She is not at all a typical ‘lawyer’. And she proud of it! She relishes in ‘doing law differently’.

Adelle has a long-founded interest in operating her own enterprises. She owned her own law firm, Jones Lawyers & Associates, from 2013–2017 in Cobram, Victoria. After selling this practice and moving to Melbourne she worked exclusively as a Wills and Estates Lawyer in Northcote where she crossed paths with Fiona Buchanan. Their commonalities in the way they practice law, engage with their clients and their approach to improving efficiency and productivity within the workplace led to the establishment of Haven Legal Co.

Haven Legal Co. is our Head Office which is based in Coburg, Melbourne. We now operate bracnch offices in Cobram and Warrnambool and very soon in Ballarat.

Abdul brings with him a plethora of knowledge and wealth of dynamic experience as a Lawyer primarily working within the firm’s Wills & Estate Planning team. Abdul previously worked in Real Estate as well as the Banking and Finance sector prior to coming to the Law. He went on to obtain his legal qualifications by completing a Bachelor of Laws at Southern Cross University in a mere two and a half years whilst simultaneously working as a full time Paralegal! A true testament to the vivacious nature and drive he possesses.

Abdul has a multifaceted fluency across a vast rage of practice areas. Prior to joining the Haven Legal Co. team, Abdul regularly appeared in Courts across a number of jurisdictions amassing an abundance of experience as a tenacious Litigator and advocate for his clients in both Criminal and Civil law matters.

Having been born in his Native country of Lebanon and migrating to Australia with his family at 14 months old, Abdul is passionate about assisting his clients from all walks of life and being able to relate to his diverse clientele by ensuring they have access to their legal rights and entitlements as well as having a sound understanding of the cultural sensitivities and familial expectations which may often be at play with his client’s legal affairs. This is accompanied by Abdul’s multi-lingual skillset whereby he is also able to assist you with your legal needs in your native language.

We welcomed Conveyancing Clerk Ebony Adams to our law firm – Haven Legal Co. – in May 2022. Ebony works remotely for our law firm and is now also the face of our Cobram office – Haven Conveyancing. If the pandemic has taught us anything it is that working remotely is no longer a barrier for the Legal industry.

Ebony lives on the NSW/VIC border in Barooga. Ebony’s client base now spans from the Cobram/Barooga region down to Melbourne CBD and suburbs and along the Peninsula and Geelong coast.

Ebony has 8 years of experience in the legal industry and 6 years as a conveyancing clerk. She has a passion for assisting new and familiar faces with their conveyancing needs. She enjoys making the process easy and stress free for our clients.

Ebony loves being around her friends and family, reading and spending her summers wakeboarding on the Murray River.
